African Elephant Chamilandu
Chamilandu was orphaned as a baby, when her mother was shot - yet another victim of ivory poachers.
Then only female, she is now thriving with her new friends at the elephant orphanage in Zambia and receiving the expert loving care she needs to enable her to be successfully released in the future. Every orphan we take is a long term commitment, each will be with us for several years before they are mature enough to be accepted by a wild herd.
By adopting a baby elephant you will not only be helping to save, care for and then release back into the wild, all of our existing and future orphans; but also helping to protect their elephant cousins in the Zambian bush.
