Become a volunteer
At DSWF we pride ourselves on low administration costs and generous funding to save wildlife and we can only achieve this with the constant help and invaluable support of our volunteers. As we continue to develop the work of the Foundation, our need for additional support grows too.
Can you help?
We have an urgent need for:
2 x part-time office adminstrators with good IT skills; one with experience in invoicing and sales order processing to help with art sales and one to support our busy education programme. Part-time, 2-3 mornings a week, preferably Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
Event volunteers to help move and set up artwork for exhibitions and events. The role is quite physical and does include some heavy lifting.
Occasional weekday afternoons, evenings and weekends.
Drivers to support events. A current driving licence is essential.
Evenings, weekends and occasional weekdays.
Talks and exhibitions:
Our regular talks and exhibitions around the country with David are hard work but great fun and very worthwhile - they bring in our "bread and butter" in sales and membership. We are now looking for volunteers who can offer their help at these events on a regular basis. The events generally involve travelling, long hours (including some weekends), some heavy physical lifting of stock and stands, setting up and selling etc. But on the plus side, they are fun and hugely satisfying (and of course DSWF pays expenses!) Even if it's just one event a year or every one of the 20 or so we do across the country - we need you!
Get in touch:
If you feel that you could offer your support please call Sally Wilson, Operations Manager on 01483 272 323. She will be happy to talk through your skills and the commitment you feel able to offer.
Finally, we would like to make a special dedication to our current volunteers who so generously give up their spare time for wildlife and DSWF - we really couldn't do it without you!
