Without your
help NOW there may be no future for black rhinos, African
painted dogs, elephants, tigers or moon bears. By adopting
one of these wonderful animals you will be helping us
to fund projects which are saving species in the wild.
You can follow
the life of your very own special animal by adopting
either Phoenix, Dundi,
Beau, Lyuti or Three Spot.

African
Elephant - PHOENIX
Phoenix
spent the first traumatic week of her life beside
her dead mother who had been slaughtered for her
tusks by poachers. Against all odds Phoenix
survived and was cared for around the clock
at Zambia 's Munda
Wanga Wildlife Sanctuary. From there she
is beginning her return back from the wild. Phoenix
is full of mischief and loves to play. By adopting
her you will be helping to release her back into
the wild. |

Black
Rhino - DUNDI
Over 98% of the world
s black rhinos were slaughtered during the
poaching wars of the 1970s and 1980s. South Africa
is now home to the largest number surviving today.
Dundi
is the first daughter of Shibula, a black rhino
rescued by DSWF from a European zoo and released
back to the wild. Dundi
now lives in South Africa's Mountain
Zebra National Park
and is an integral part of a successful breeding
programme. Adopt Dundi
and help us to protect rhinos and build her family
a more secure future.

African
Painted Dogs - THREE SPOT
The African painted
dog once roamed throughout the whole of sub-Saharan
Africa. Tragically they have been mercilessly
persecuted and populations plummeted from 500,000
to fewer than 5,000 surviving today. Three
Spot is a wonderful
example of these highly sociable but much maligned
dogs, living with his family in the Hwange
region of Zimbabwe. By adopting Three
Spot you will
help us to buy anti-snare reflective collars,
fund anti-poaching operations and education work.

Amur
(formerly Siberian) Tiger - LYUTI
Lyuti was found
severely injured, deep in the Siberian forest. His
mother had been killed by poachers. Unable to survive
alone in the wild he was taken to the Utyos
Rehabilitation Centre.
Now fully recovered he lives in a protected area
of natural forest where he will remain safely for
the rest of his life. When you adopt Lyuti
you will help us to fund vital anti-poaching operations
and protect this region of the Russian Far East,
where fewer than 500 of
Lyuti's wild cousins
survive. |

Asiatic
black bear (moon bear) - BEAU
In bear farms
throughout China moon bears are incarcerated in
rusty cages to produce bile for use in traditional
Chinese medicine. In October 2000 Animals Asia Foundation
rescued a bear called Beau
and after surgery to repair her wounds and years
of cruelty, she now lives free with over 150 adults,
cubs and orphans in a natural forest sanctuary.
Beau
is beautiful and affectionate, with melting brown
eyes which hold your gaze with complete trust, intelligence
and forgiveness. By adopting her you will be helping
to secure her future. |
