Making A Purchase

Making a purchase and payment could not be easier. Just browse our Catalog, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping basket. After you have finished your selection, click on "Checkout" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order.

We accept Visa & Mastercard credit cards and Visa Delta and Maestro debit cards for payment. If you are shopping from North America or anywhere else, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to US Dollars or your own currency.


Payment 

i). Payment can be made by credit/debit card (Visa, Mastercard, Delta and Maestro). All payments will be authorised by the relevant card issuer before any goods are dispatched. The transaction will show as a payment to David Shepherd WF
ii). The Total To Pay figure includes carriage costs to anywhere in the UK mainland for retail. For delivery outside of the UK we will contact you prior to processing you credit/debit card to agree the delivery costs. 
iii) All payments will be authorised by the relevant card issuer before any goods are dispatched.

 

Delivery Schedule

i). Once your payment has been authorised we aim to despatch your membership or adoption pack within 14 days of receipt of order, but please allow up to 28 days at busy times of the year. Delivery to customers outside the UK may take longer.

ii). If there is a delay in being able to send your pack we will contact you.

iii). We will write to to acknowledge any donation you make.

 

Tax Charges

The member, adoptor or donator, (ie. you) is responsible for paying all taxes and duties for items supplied outside of the EU.

All prices are exempt from VAT or other UK sales taxes.

 

Credit Card Security

All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.

All credit/debit card transactions are handled by a fully certificated secure server, provided by Actinic.

 

Applicable Law

All transactions from this web site are governed by UK law.

Privacy Policy

The David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation and DSWF Trading Company Limited (together "the Foundation") process your personal data (as defined by the Data Protection Act 1998 ("the Act") for purposes of achieving the charitable objectives of the Foundation, fundraising, administering the Foundation's international activities and undertaking marketing and trading activities in relation to the Foundation's aims. The marketing we undertake does include email marketing. 

Due to the international nature of the Foundation's operations your personal data may be transferred outside the European Economic Area where data protection laws may not offer the same level of protection as in Europe.

Due to the nature of the Internet it is possible that the personal data that you disclose on the Foundation website may be transferred outside of the European Economic Area. 

The Foundation does not sell your personal data to other organisations and transfer of your personal data will not occur unless such transfers are permitted under the Act or other law.The personal data of those donating to Operation Charm will only be used by the Foundation to process the donation, unless otherwise requested.

We may use technology to track the patterns of behaviour of visitors to our site. This can include using a "cookie" which would be stored on your browser, at the present time the cookie only stores your shopping information and name, address, phone number and email address. You can usually modify your browser to prevent this happening. The information collected in this way can be used to identify you unless you modify your browser settings.

Returns Policy

Exchanges, Returns & Refunds

Our aim is to operate a simple, straightforward approach to returns, refunds and exchanges and be as helpful as possible in trying to resolve the problem to your satisfaction. 

1. Exchanges & Returns

i). If any item(s) you purchase from us is faulty or damaged when you receive it we will arrange for the item(s) to be replaced (if you do not contact us within 48 hours we reserve the right not to replace the item.) We will require you to return the faulty item, within 7 days, for which we will reimburse postage costs once we have received the faulty item. 

ii). In the unlikely event that we send you the wrong item you will need to notify us within 48 hours and we will arrange for the correct item to be dispatched by return and make arrangements for the collection of the wrong item.

iii). If you find that the item(s) you have ordered is not what you wanted we will consider exchanging the item(s) for other goods, subject to the item(s) being unused, in their original packaging and undamaged. Replacements will only be sent after the original item(s) have been returned, received at DSWF and checked. You will be responsible for all postage costs.

2. Refunds

We will consider refunds in certain circumstances, eg. goods ordered and supplied correctly but not required and no replacement wanted. You will need to contact DSWF offices either by phone on 01483 272323 or by email to dswf@davidshepherd.org.

Your statutory rights are not affected.
